About this listing
Sublime, contemporary holiday house with incredible loch views in the village of Poolewe on the magnificent west coast and NC500 route.
Sleeping 9, this striking holiday house is ideal for coastal family escapes. Completed in 2019 and replacing an old barn used to dry fishing nets, it offers superb facilities and a great base to explore the west coast. Two dogs are welcome too!
Ideal for Coastal Family Escapes
Poolewe Beach House has four bedrooms, three of which offer stunning loch views. The house is suitable for those with mobility issues having level floors and low entry shower trays throughout. This is a big plus for those planning an inter-generational gathering. Its worth noting a travel cot, high chair, baby bath and children’s fishing rods are available for guests, just ask the friendly owners!
An air source heat pump provides underfloor heating and lashings of hot water so the house is always warm and cosy. The open plan living space with log burning stove makes the most of the seascape and big skies, with great Wi-Fi, satellite television and sound bar. With two large leather sofas, two rotating chairs and a firm armchair for older guests it offers an altogether more relaxing place to unwind and take in the breathtaking views. Direct access can be gained to the deck / secure garden and newly installed dining bench. Binoculars are provided for wildlife spotting along with a good selection of wildlife/cook and general interest books and board games.
A Place to Unwind and Take in the Breathtaking Views
A well-equipped contemporary kitchen makes catering for yourselves a breeze: Induction hob, electric single oven and extractor fan, large fridge/freezer, double sink, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and 4 slice toaster. The kitchen also offers a good selection of crockery and utensils, important if you’re in a larger group. There’s also a Nespresso coffee machine.
The utility/ boot room with washer, tumble dryer and drying rack are very useful after a day on the beach, exploring the NC500 or hillwalking.
The Interiors are Superb Throughout
Put your feet up and relax in this comfortable and well thought out house with retro teak furniture, contemporary soft furnishings, lights and artwork. Importantly, the en-suites have blackout binds for those summer months when the sun barely goes down.
The larger master bedroom has a super king bed, double wardrobe, drawers, mirrored dressing table and hair dryer. The huge window overlooks the bay, while a classic Parker Knoll chair offer an opportunity for an afternoon snooze. The oversized shower cubicle is built for two, with rainfall shower and adjustable hose. The second en-suite master bedroom offers a super king bed plus mirrored dressing table, drawers and hair dryer. This a delightful bedroom with superb views overlooking the loch. The twin bedroom boasts views overlooking the loch, while the clever bunk room has a double bed on the bottom and a single on top. The kids will love it!
