Loch Awe runs south-west about 20 miles east of Oban and is one of the most beautiful Scottish lochs, having the iconic ruin of Kilchurn Castle at its northern end. About a quarter of the way down its quiet western shore overlooking the water, are the stunning Achnacarron and Loch Awe Boathouses.
