Set on a small apple farm on the John Muir Way and near the village of Croftamie, the striking timber built house is carefully designed by the owners to make the most of the natural surroundings. The house is full of natural light, and the large open-plan living area with large picture windows overlooks the neighbouring fields, (watch the cows amble past in the next field).

We loved the generous welcome pack. Complimentary linen, towels and toiletries are also provided. The facilities in the house are first rate and make it a great choice for a self-catering holiday in this popular area.

The large south-facing open-plan living area includes a kitchen, dining area and double-height sitting room with biomass powered underfloor heating throughout. There is also a DVD / Blue Ray player.  The house has strong green credentials with a biomass underfloor heating and hot water, solar panels, superior insulation (EPC rating A) and an Electric Vehicle charger.

The helpful and friendly owners have also supplied a pair of Binoculars, ideal for wildlife watching from the massive windows. The large dining table forms the heart of the room and it easily sits eight. There’s a large sliding glass door which opens onto the delightful patio area with tables and chairs, and a BBQ.
